About Me

Hello! Thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Morgan, Morgan Dawn to be exact. Morgan means "Great brightness" and Dawn means "Break of Day". So my first and middle name mean essentially the same thing. It is my desire to shine the brightness of Christ into the darkness that surrounds this falling world.

The dream of my heart has always been to be a wife to a godly man and a mother to a houseful of children. I believe in saving my entire self for my future husband and I believe in "purposeful dating/courtship". I believe children are a blessing from the Lord, and I want as many as He sees fit to bless me with. I believe in life at conception, therefore I believe abortion is murder. God forgive this world for how many lives they have destroyed under the pretense of choice.

Another issue that is close to my heart is the issue of modesty. I believe in modesty of the heart as well as modesty in dress. I believe they go hand in hand and that you can't have one without the other. I have high standards when it comes to dressing modestly and femininely. A year or so ago I chose to take pants out of my wardrobe, so I now wear almost always skirts and dresses. Occasionally I will wear pants, but only if they are necessary. (which is not very often) I do not judge other Christian ladies who wear pants. I just have chosen not to because I enjoy the coverage skirts give as well as how they make me look distinctively feminine.

I am blessed to be a happy homeschool graduate. My experience with home educating is such a positive one that I can't imagine educating my future children in any other way. I have been blessed with amazing God-fearing parents, three wonderful brothers, and one sister-in-love/law. We reside in a little red brick ranch in the beautiful Michigan countryside.

I enjoy many pastimes. One of which is sewing. I love to sew! I greatly enjoy sewing feminine clothing from eras past, and I am looking forward to teaching myself how to quilt in the near future. In addition to sewing, I love cooking and baking. Some of my favorite things to bake are pies, cookies, cupcakes, and homemade bread. If you don't find me in the kitchen or at my sewing machine, I am either playing the piano or curled up reading a good book. I also greatly enjoy babies and small children. It is always a joy to be surrounded by adorable little ones.

The Lord Jesus has blessed me abundantly. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and I can't imagine life without my beautiful Savior. He is my beginning and end. I am so grateful that He saved my soul through His sacrificial death on the cross of Calvary. On the third day He arose and triumphed over death forever! Hallelujah! What a Savior!

I pray that my blog may be a blessing and an encouragement to you. Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings,
Miss Morgan
